You Are Important for Him

"He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young." Isaiah 40: 11

'Flock' means a group of sheep or goats. Let's just say it is a group of sheep; they will be from the same kind or species. But they will be in different sizes, shapes, some will be strong and some will be weak, some are young and some are old. No matter what the differences are, the good shepherd will take care of them dearly and carefully.

The Bible always portrays the Lord Jesus as the shepherd and the people as a sheep. Like the group of sheep, we humans are of the same kind but with many differences to one another. Difference in skin colors, sizes, status, strength and languages. But no matter what are the differences, we are all same in the eyes of the Lord; every soul is so important and precious for the Lord Jesus Christ.

You might be saying, “I don't think I'm important for the Lord, because I am nobody compared to my friends who are more talented than me…" My friend, you are wrong! Whether you are somebody or nobody, whether you are talented or not talented, you are important for Him. There is no favoritism in His eyes. The Bible says, "He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young." Isaiah 40:11. This verse tells us about the character and the loving heart of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is about the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and His very nature.

See carefully the bold words in this verse, "He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young." 'Lambs' it is a plural not singular. The word 'Lambs' gives an understanding of the whole group. He gathers all of them with His loving arms and not even one is missed out from His heart.

Likewise, you and I are equally important for Him. Never ever think that you are left out because of your inadequacy. He will always accept you as you are right now. He loves you no matter how many weaknesses you have in you. There is no condition for His love for you. The Lord didn't die on the cross for only a selected number of people. He died for each and everyone in this world because everyone is important for Him. You are one of them…
